What a special evening it was for our club at the City of Fremantle’s Sport and Recreation Recognition Night. Surrounded by so many passionate volunteers, athletes, and community champions, we were incredibly honoured to be recognised among the people who make Fremantle’s sporting culture so strong.
Taking home the Walyalup Legacy Award is something we are immensely proud of. For more than four decades, the Fremantle Phantoms have been about far more than football. We’ve built a club where mateship comes first, where staying active is celebrated at every level, and where players can enjoy the game in a supportive, inclusive environment — no matter their background or ability.

This recognition belongs to everyone who has pulled on the jumper, volunteered their time, supported from the sidelines, or simply shared a laugh in the rooms. Our club has always been built on connection, camaraderie, and a genuine love for the game. To be acknowledged for our contribution to community wellbeing is both humbling and deeply meaningful.
Thank you to the City of Fremantle for this honour, and congratulations to all the other winners and nominees. We’re proud to be part of such a vibrant sporting community and look forward to continuing what we do best — bringing people together through footy.
Here’s to many more seasons of friendship, fun, and Phantoms spirit.
