Who We Are?
The Fremantle Phantoms is a Masters football club competing in the AFL Masters WA metro competition.
We are a veterans club for men over the age of 33 plus, of all abilities and experience.
Whether you've player 100 games of league footy or never kicked a ball in competition, all are welcome at the Phantoms.
Our season runs from April through to mid September, playing a game every two weeks in a 10 round competition including a country carnival mid year.
Masters footy is modified AFL rules, ensuring all types can play without the worry of injury or lack of ability.
The cub has three sides in the Metro competition and trains every Wednesday at our home ground Gil Fraser Reserves in North Fremantle.

Our History
The Fremantle Phantoms AFL Masters Football Club was formed way back in 1983.
It was the brain child of East Fremantle veteran Laurie Watson, as a Super Rules club as it was know then. There wasn't much of a club back then, with players borrowing kit from the local WAFL affiliate and recruiting players for far and wide.
Fremantle was one of the six foundation clubs in what was then known as "Veteran's Football".
The club has grown greatly over the last 30 odd years.
Wearing the colours of another famous Fremantle side, the blue & white of the East Freo Sharks, the club begun training out for East Fremantle Oval.
In 1986 the club took on a Footscray Bulldogs inspired jumper, moving to Shirley Strickland Reserve in Applecross, and holding the first formal meeting of the club where John Branch was elected the inaugural club president.
In 2004 the club officially became known as the Phantoms and took on the now famous Fremantle colour purple.
After several years in and around the Melville Football club, including brief stints at Davilak Oval in Hamilton Hill and Santich Park in Spearwood, the Phantoms finally found a real home in 2006 - the best suburban ground in the state, the one and only Gilbert Fraser Reserve.
Nestled on the Swan river in the heart of North Fremantle, The Gil as it's known by members, is our training based and our home ground, the only one in the league that boasts its own grand stand.
There have been many a football name wear the Phantom's jumpers since 1983, players that after glory years in the AFL, VFL, WAFL & WAAFL opted to continue their football journey with Fremantle.
Now the club is one of the largest in the competition, with a strong player & member base, fielding three teams each round in Supers, Masters & Seniors.
